1. As Michel Debost’s left pinkie support:
The left pinkie, when not in use, can rest on the Pinkieport/Fingerport to increase the stability. It is intended for flutes with in-line G only. Please see the modification page if the Pinkieport clashes with kickers at the back.
2. As left index finger rest:
If used for the index finger, it can be clipped onto the flute either way. For flutes with the C# trill, only the configuration in the second photo below will work. It may involve some cutting to avoid clashing with mechanism. The Fingerport should sit where the player can feel the large flat surface against the finger.
