What We Like

The Solexa S-309 is equipped with some of the highest specs we’ve come across in the Semi-Professional range. Like the rest of the Solexa lineup, it's built with a fully pinless mechanism that has proven its reliability and quick action responsiveness. However, the soldered toneholes is what we’re most excited about because it has the possibility of adding so much more resonance and projection to the player’s arsenal, especially when combined with the Straubinger pads, which are designed specifically for hand-made flutes to ensure optimal performance and tone enhancement.

We are also able to fit a variety of different headjoints on the S-309, meaning there is incredible versatility and allows the player to find their perfect combination.

Known for innovative solutions, we have a no-nonsense approach to mechanical improvement. While many of the modifications are hard to detect to the naked eye, flutists will love the familiarity of our instruments and at the same time, notice the ease in handling. That is a result of the ergonomic consideration and optimised mechanical efficiency we have developed.

Material

All tubing used on Solexa instruments have been selected with extreme attention to ensure exact dimensions. Our sterling silver guarantee maximum silver content. All the rods adopt high strength and high precision stainless steel with calculated treatment. Not to be left out, our pivot and adjustment screws are produced by the most advanced CNC equipment.

Tubing

Even the preliminary steps of preparing the tube need great care. The result is a more even and resonant instrument.

Key Cups

All keys and cups are made by advanced computerised lathes and sculpting equipment to ensure consistency and accuracy.

Key Arms

To ensure optimal strength and durability, minimal heat and work are done to prepare the key arms.

Assembly

Our experienced technicians carefully put these parts together. Then they go through stringent tests and adjustments. Once finished, every Solexa flute shines in any player's hands.
